A THING is anything you weigh again and again: a flour, a jar of weed, a bottle of gin, your favourite bowl. It is saved on the scale with a name and its units - prices, cups, milligrams of THC, calories, bread units. Load it with one click on any phone: the scale shows all of it, live, with every change of the weight.
What is a THING?
1A name and what belongs to it
A THING has a name and up to 20 units. That's all - but it means that the product carries its own knowledge: its price, its density, its container, its nutrition values, its lot number. Other scale apps know a price at best.
2Saved on the scale, not in an account
THINGS live on the scale itself (up to 1000 with PRO, 3 in the free version). Every phone, tablet and computer that connects sees the same list - no cloud, no sign-up. Back them up as a file, copy them to a second scale with SYNC.
3Used everywhere in the app
The same THING is the product in the sales mode (price, QR code on the jar), the ingredient in a recipe (density, nutrition, hydration), the bottle in the inventory (empty weight, volume) and the item on a label (price, lot, barcode). You define it once.

The units - what the scale can show next to the weight
A unit is a second (third, fourth ...) value, calculated live from the weight on the scale. It is also written into the weighing log and can be saved with a THING. Pick the kind in the UNITS bar of the app.
💰Price / costs
The price of what is on the scale, in as many currencies as you like at the same time. Per gram - or per piece in the counting mode.
- Market stall: 4.15 EUR per gram. 100 g on the scale shows 415.00 EUR - and Dollars and Bitcoin next to it, if you want.
- Gold buyer: the 🪙 gold price calculator makes two price units from the karat and today's spot price: the value of the piece and your payout.

🧪Fixed metric units - milligrams of an ingredient
The exact amount of something in the weighed goods, always in metric, even if the scale runs in ounces.
- Vitamins: your chocolate mix has 4 mg of vitamin C per gram. Weigh 12.5 g of it and the scale shows 50 mg vitamin C directly - no calculator.
- Supplements: magnesium in mg per gram of a mix, shown while you fill - even if the scale runs in ounces.

🌿Cannabinoids - THC, CBD and more in mg
The values of your lab report in milligram per gram: THC and CBD on top, CBG, CBN, THCV and more below. THC and CBD go into the records; a lot of the lot store can have its own lab value.
- Dispensing: the strain has 210 mg THC per gram. 3.5 g on the scale shows 735 mg THC - and the share in % next to it.
- Cannabutter: the 🌿 infusion calculator weighs every step of the batch and saves the result as a THING - from then on you weigh your butter directly in mg THC per portion.

🥛Weight ↔ volume - cups, spoons, millilitres
Choose a liquid or food from the built-in database (8000+ products) or type its density. The scale then shows the amount in ml, US or UK cups, fluid ounces, teaspoons, dessertspoons or tablespoons.
- Flour in cups: the recipe says 2.5 US cups of corn flour. Pick the flour, choose US cups - the scale tells you to weigh 372 g and shows the cups live.
- Milk by the millilitre: pour 100 ml of milk without a measuring jug - directly on the scale.

🍉Nutrition values - calories, bread units and more
Calories, carbohydrates, protein, fat, saturated fat, sugar, fibre, cholesterol and salt - from the database, from the barcode of a packed product (Open Food Facts) or typed from the package. Carbohydrates can be shown as bread units (BU) or carbohydrate units (CU), and the log adds up the traffic-light rating of a meal.
- Diabetes: rye bread has 48 g carbohydrates per 100 g. A slice of 80 g on the scale shows 3.2 BU (1 BU = 12 g) or 3.8 CU (1 CU = 10 g) - the number you need for your insulin, even if the scale runs in ounces.
- Diet: weigh your lunch ingredient by ingredient and see the calories and the traffic light of the whole plate.
💧Hydration - doughs and breads
The liquid share of a product (water 100 %, milk about 87 %, a levain with its own hydration). Recipes then show the total flour, the total liquids and the true hydration of the dough.
- Sourdough: flour, water and a 100 % levain are THINGS - the log shows the dough at 72 % hydration.

💯Percent weighing - baker's percentage
Say what is 100 % and see every next weighing as a percentage of it.
- Bakery: 1000 g flour is 100 %. The salt shows 2.0 % when you reach 20 g - no maths, no mistakes.
- Filling: a live bar with an extra scale for the last 10 % for an exact fill.

🔣Custom units - anything you can count per gram
Your own name and an amount per gram, per percent or as a weight of one piece.
- Raisins: one raisin weighs 0.8 g - the scale shows how many raisins are in your piece of cake.
- A strange currency or a point system of your shop.

🫙Container / jar weight
Subtract the weight of the empty container without emptying it. Save it with the THING and the jar from the shelf is a product: put it on the scale and see what is left.
- Bar: the gin bottle (520 g empty) shows the content in grams and millilitres - the inventory adds the loss.
- Take-away: a jar of weed on the scale, scan its QR code, take some out - the scale shows how much you took and its exact price.

🧾Lot number FREEPRO
A batch number for the goods, typed or scanned, saved with the THING and printed on the labels. With PRO the scale keeps a lot store (420 lots, use-by dates, THC / CBD per lot).
- Food maker: pasta sauce lot 240615-3 - it is in the weighing log, on the label and in a QR code that opens a page for your customers.

Set a goal for any unit and the scale shows a percent bar towards it.
- Fill to a price: a bag worth exactly 20.00 EUR.
- Fill to a dose: a jar with exactly 500 mg of THC in it.

Units work together
A THING can carry many units at once - they all update with the weight. Some examples of what that looks like:

What a THING can do besides showing numbers
- QR code label: every THING gets an automatically made code for its jar - scan it and the THING (with all its units) is loaded.
- Sales mode: weigh, see the price, book the sale - the sales log of the scale adds it up per THING, day and user.
- Inventory: weigh the bottle or jar and see what is left, what was used and what went missing.
- Recipes: ingredients are THINGS - the recipe adds up their nutrition values, prices and hydration.
- True mass: with a density, the app can correct the air buoyancy of a weighing (ENTERPRISE).
