Cannabis club documentation - done while you weigh
A cannabis social club (Anbauvereinigung) has to document what it harvests, dries, destroys and hands to its members. Most clubs do it twice: once on the scale, once in a spreadsheet. With UP↑SCALE the weighing is the record - on one lot, with member ID and THC / CBD, tamper-evident.
What it saves you
And fewer mistakes: the scale refuses a booking without a stable weight, without lot, without member ID or THC / CBD - it tells you what is missing before anything is saved.
The workflow, from the plant to the member
- Once: switch on the 🌿 cannabis club settings (PRO), enter the name of the club. Create a THING per strain with THC / CBD in mg per gram from your lab report and the weight of its jar. PRO
- Harvest day: create the lot in the lot store (or let the generator make the number, e.g. strain + date + counter), print the lot label for the container. Weigh every part of the harvest and book it as harvest (fresh) - tare the container first.
- Drying: put a rack on a second scale and start the tracking mode with the drying preset: it shows the estimated moisture live and gives an alarm at your target (10-12 %). The run is recorded by the scale itself, also through a power cut.
- Dried: scan the lot label, weigh the dried buds, book them as dried - with THC / CBD of the lot if you have them (the lot's own lab value wins over the strain's). The app offers to add them to the stock.
- Destruction: mold, stems, leftovers - book them as destroyed with the reason. They leave the stock like a dispensing.
- Dispensing: scan the jar or the lot, put the bag on the scale, enter or scan the member ID, book. The check before the booking: club, strain, lot, price (0 is fine), member ID and THC / CBD must be there. The label for the bag prints if you like.
- Any time: the lot report (harvest, drying loss, destruction, dispensing, the rest), the harvest log, the destruction log of the year, the stock with the loss.
- Once a year: SUMS OF A YEAR per strain - harvested, dried, dispensed with THC and CBD in mg or g, destroyed, the rest - as the base for your report. With ENTERPRISE: the sealed PDF, CSV or JSON of every record. ENTERPRISE

Members, member cards and limits
1Member IDs - never names
Switch on member IDs in the settings of the sales mode. The ID is typed in or scanned from a member card: the app prints the cards for you, with a QR code that holds only the ID - never a name, never a link to a web page. Your member list keeps who has which ID.
2The member's history at the counter
As soon as the ID is in, the app loads the sales of this member of the last 3 months from the scale and shows the sums of today and this month - on every phone and tablet of the club, because the records are on the scale.
3Limits per day and per month
Optional: set your limits per member and day and per month (e.g. 25 g / 50 g). The confirmation of a dispensing then shows a warning when this one would go over a limit - with the new sum. It is a warning only: the booking stays possible, and the values are yours to check against the law and your authority.

THC / CBD: tracked from the lab report to the yearly sum
- Per strain: the 🌿 CANNABINOIDS box of a THING takes the content in mg per gram from your lab report - THC and CBD on top, CBG, CBN, THCV and more below. Live on the screen: the mg of every cannabinoid in what is on the scale, also as %.
- Per lot: a lot can have its own lab value - it wins over the strain, and the page of the lot code shows it.
- Per booking: every record keeps the THC and CBD as they were at the booking - a later change of the lab value never changes old records.
- Per report: the lot report, the harvest log and the sums of the year give THC and CBD as the amount in the weighed goods (mg, for big sums g or kg).
- Per year: the THC and CBD dispensed, per strain - for your yearly report.
- On the label: the THC / CBD of the bag, with the warning symbols if you like.
- In the kitchen: the infusion calculator gives butter and oils a known mg per gram, recipes show the mg per portion.

A good set-up for a club
- The dispensing scale: your verified counter scale with the RS-232 adapter in EXACT WEIGHT - the grams in the record are the grams of the verified scale
- The harvest scale: a bigger bench or floor scale, also with an adapter - same app, same lots
- ENTERPRISE on the dispensing scale: staff logins, the activity log and the sealed exports for the inspection
- A label printer for lot labels and bag labels (PRO)
- A backup routine: export once a month, keep the files read-only, note the fingerprint of the newest one
The limits - honestly
- A documentation aid, no legal advice: check with the KCanG (§ 26) and your authority what you have to record and report
- The scale keeps member IDs only; the law asks for names too - keep your member list
- The limits per member only warn - a booking over the limit stays possible, and the values of the limits are yours to check against the law
- Member IDs are kept in the flash of the scale without encryption - export regularly and keep the list of who has which ID apart
- Tamper-evident, not write-once: a changed or missing record shows up, but the memory and the files can still be deleted - keep the exports safe. How it works

Made by one of us - not by a scale company
Hi, I am Johann, the developer of UP↑SCALE. Cannabis has been part of my life and my work for a long time - in my own legal commercial kitchens on Tenerife (Canary Islands), where we made infused food every day, and in our legal cannabis club there. And every day the same story: a scale that showed a number, and everything else - the dose per portion, the harvest weights, what went to whom, what was left in the jar, the papers for the next inspection - on paper, in spreadsheets and in our heads.
So I built the first UP↑SCALEs for exactly these needs: for my own kitchens and for the club. Weighing in mg of THC, infusions with a known strength, jars that tell you what is left, every gram on a lot, the records made while you weigh. Everything you find here was first used by us, behind our own counter and at our own stoves - and then made better, again and again.
That is why I know what growers, kitchen crews, budtenders and the people who keep a club running really need - and what they don't need: subscriptions, clouds, accounts and somebody else holding their data.
