1Build the adapter yourself - about 15 EUR

An ESP32-S3 or ESP32-C3 board with at least 4 MB flash and a 3.3 V RS-232 board, four jumper wires - no soldering with pre-soldered boards. The firmware installs from the browser and finds out by itself which chip it is; the pins are set in the app. Same app, same licence as the ready-made adapter.

2An open wireless protocol

The scale sends its weight, state and page as small packets and takes simple commands (tare, OK, page switch, settings). Read it from your own web page with a few lines of JavaScript, or from any device that speaks the low-energy radio. With BLE FOR ALL the scale also sends its weight openly to every device nearby - no connection needed.

3ESP-NOW: scale to machine, peer-to-peer

Switch on ESP-NOW and the scale sends to (and listens to) your own ESP32 devices directly - no router, no pairing, many at the same time. Displays, relays, valves, sorting gates, a pump for the espresso early stop. The factory mode drives your machine with a predictive cut-off.

4USB serial for your own software

Over USB the scale sends its values as text - for data loggers, standard scale software, a Raspberry Pi or your Python script - and takes single-character commands (tare, OK, navigation).
