The scale for dispensaries and cannabis shops

Jars on the shelf, bags over the counter, edibles in the kitchen: you need the exact gram, the exact price, a clean label - and at the end of the week the truth about your stock. UP↑SCALE turns your counter scale into all of that.

What helps you most

1Every strain on the scale - and a QR code on its jar

Save your Haze once as a THING: its price per gram, THC / CBD, the weight of the empty jar and the lot. Print its QR code label and stick it on the jar. From then on: put the jar on the scale, scan the code - and the scale knows what it is, what it costs and how much is inside, without opening the lid.

2Weigh straight out of the jar

Switch on the take-away mode: the scale shows what you take out of the jar - and its exact price - instead of what is left. Or use the sales mode with the bag on the scale: big weight, big price, BOOK NOW. Several jars, one customer? Everything adds up in the log.

3A label for every bag

Right after weighing: a label with the strain, the exact weight and price, THC / CBD, the lot with a small lot code, your logo and texts - and the cannabis warning symbols (no driving, THC triangle, 18+) with one click. These are our own symbols; add the official ones of your state or country as a picture.

4Stock and loss per strain TEST IN FREEPRO

Check your inventory after a lot of sales: put each jar on the scale, and you see what was sold, how much should be left - and how much "evaporated" (drying, crumbs, mistakes). The stock lives on the scale, so every counter sees the same numbers. 5 items are free.

5The sales of the day TEST IN FREEPRO

Every booking goes into the sales log on the scale: pieces, grams, revenue, costs and profit per strain and per day (and per budtender, with users). With ENTERPRISE every budtender logs in, the records are chained and sealed, and the sealed report shows every sale with gross, tare and net. ENTERPRISE (users, seal)

6Edibles with a known dose

The infusion calculator turns your flower, rosin or distillate and your butter or oil into an infusion with a known strength in mg per gram - and from then on you weigh it in mg of THC. Your recipes show the mg per portion, the servings calculator splits a batch into portions of exactly 5 or 10 mg, the mold filling checks that every gummy weighs the same, and the label prints the dose and the ingredients.

Tips from the practice

  • Weigh the jar with the lid the way you put it on the scale - then the content is always right.
  • A small fine scale for the counter, a big one in the back: both in one app, with the same products and the same stock.
  • Club in Germany? See the cannabis social club page for harvest, dispensing and destruction records.

The rules you should know

  • Selling by weight needs a verified scale in most countries - the app shows the exact weight of your verified scale and keeps the records
  • Seed-to-sale tracking, labels and warnings are set by the rules of your state or country - UP↑SCALE is no state tracking system and makes no claim that it meets them
  • The sales log is your own record, not a fiscal cash register

No legal advice: check the rules of your state or country.

Made by one of us - not by a scale company

Hi, I am Johann, the developer of UP↑SCALE. Cannabis has been part of my life and my work for a long time - in my own legal commercial kitchens on Tenerife (Canary Islands), where we made infused food every day, and in our legal cannabis club there. And every day the same story: a scale that showed a number, and everything else - the dose per portion, the harvest weights, what went to whom, what was left in the jar, the papers for the next inspection - on paper, in spreadsheets and in our heads.

So I built the first UP↑SCALEs for exactly these needs: for my own kitchens and for the club. Weighing in mg of THC, infusions with a known strength, jars that tell you what is left, every gram on a lot, the records made while you weigh. Everything you find here was first used by us, behind our own counter and at our own stoves - and then made better, again and again.

That is why I know what growers, kitchen crews, budtenders and the people who keep a club running really need - and what they don't need: subscriptions, clouds, accounts and somebody else holding their data.
